Welcome to Urban Yard Studios !

Chris and Doug are Co-Founders of Urban Yard Studios and met in 2004 as fellow renters at the infamous

5 POINTZ Building in LIC.

Since the mass eviction of all occupants from 5 POINTZ in 2008 we set out to create a safer and more supportive studio model. Not an office, and not a messy chaotic art studio.

We have our own families and careers to tend to, in addition to our studios.

Chris Anigacz has two kids and is a professional restorer of fine furniture.

Doug Holt also has two kids and is a commercial still life and fashion photographer.

We manage and run three independent Long Island City Artist Studios:

Queensbridge Studios est. 2012

Footbridge Studios est. 2017

Urban Yard Studios est. 2024

All our studios are flooded with natural light, brand new, industrial and versatile.

We are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We are accountable to our tenants and their endeavors.

All our studios are a creative and tranquil haven for

independent, creative New Yorkers.

We love Long Island City and vigorously participate within the community.

We are here to help you grow creatively and professionally through our form of Studio Therapy.
